The region’s peak business organisation the Illawarra Business Chamber will today launch its new name, Business Illawarra.

The new Business Illawarra brand identity will be formally unveiled at a Business After Hours networking event held this evening at The Illawarra Hotel.

“In two simple words, Business Illawarra tells the story of who we are as an organisation, illustrates who our members are and defines the purpose behind our work,” said the Executive Director, Mr Adam Zarth.

“The Illawarra Business Chamber has a long history of supporting and promoting our region’s business community, and we will be continuing and building on this proud legacy.”

“Our business leadership group, Illawarra First, will remain unchanged and continue to drive strong advocacy for our regional economy, as we have seen recently with the success of our campaign for the upgrade of Picton Road and our advocacy on the Mount Ousley Interchange project.”

“The transition of our name to Business Illawarra reflects our affiliation with My Business and Business NSW and marks a shift to uniform branding to showcase the broader reach, influence, and the strength of our national network.”

“Our name may have changed, but our commitment to supporting business will continue to drive our priorities and the work we do. My team and I are dedicated to providing our members with the tools they need to succeed in business, and our products, services and advocacy efforts will remain unchanged.”

“As an organisation, our goal has always been to create a vibrant business environment that drives growth and sustainable prosperity for all, and as the voice for business in our region, Business Illawarra will continue to champion the strategic interests of our members and the business community we serve,” said Mr Zarth.

The Business Illawarra brand identity seeks to project a contemporary image that better reflects the vibrant and diverse business community represented by the Illawarra Business Chamber for many years. The launch is accompanied by a new website, which allows members to stay connected and informed.
