The Young Professionals Network (YPN), an initiative of Business Illawarra and connects emerging leaders to build relationships, share ideas, and grow professionally.
Through networking events, workshops and skills development, the network supports career growth, encourages collaboration, and creates opportunities for young professionals to connect, learn, and thrive within the local business community.

We are always looking for motivated professionals who are keen to contribute to the growth of the YPN and play a role in shaping its future.

Working Group & Ambassadors
Helping shape the next generation of Illawarra leaders
The Young Professionals Network (YPN), an initiative of Business Illawarra, is supported by a dedicated group of Working Group members and Ambassadors, emerging leaders from across the region who help guide and champion the network.
Together, they play a key role in ensuring YPN remains relevant, inclusive and valuable for young professionals at all stages of their early careers.
Members of the Working Group and Ambassador network contribute both strategic insight and practical support to the development of YPN.
They play a role in:
- Providing insight into the needs and priorities of young professionals
- Shaping event themes, speakers and overall programming
- Promoting the network across their industries and professional networks
- Supporting engagement, attendance and participation
- Contributing to the delivery and success of YPN initiatives
Ambassadors are selected from the Working Group and take on a more active role in representing and advocating and promoting the YPN within the broader business community.
